Karaoke Mode doesn't work with my song. Why not?

Back Back

Question: Why doesn't Karaoke Mode work with my song? It just makes it sound scrambled.

Answer: Pitch Switch uses a technique called "Phase Elimination" to remove the vocals from songs. This technique requires that the vocals of the song be recorded to both the left and right channels sound channels. Karaoke Mode works best with "Pop" tracks, as the vocals tend to be centered and very clear.

If the song you're using was recorded with the vocals only on one channel, Pitch Switch won't be able to remove them. Karaoke Mode does not work on tracks recorded in mono (where both the left and right channels have the same sound).
